Australia’s fastest growing medical cannabis company sets its sights on New Zealand

Australian based Medicinal Organic Cannabis Australia (MOCA) Pty Ltd is searching for a suitable development site for its New Zealand's sister company MOCA Pty Ltd's expansion into the New Zealand market in mid-2019. MOCA is backed by the world’s largest online cannabis wholesaler,, who have made a $3 million investment in MOCA to fund its expansion operations in Australia and New Zealand. The innovative enterprise is establishing a state of the art research centre to develop international best practices in cultivation quality and safety.

After months of discussions with Medsafe, MOCA today confirmed its intention to enter into the New Zealand marketplace. The Company has submitted applications for licences to cultivate a prohibited plant and to import and export controlled drugs. MOCA is also applying for a licence to deal in controlled drugs in order to conduct activities such as extractions and testing of constituents and manufacturing of products. “With the backing of global industry leader,, the search is now on for the perfect location to create our facility, one which will sustain our long term plans for the growing New Zealand medical cannabis market” said Alessandro Sorbello, CEO of MOCA.

MOCA currently holds import and export licences at State and Federal levels in Australia and supplies local and international markets from its state of the art medical facility in New South Wales.
